Colmena privacy policy
Colmena is an Android puzzle game developed by HannaGames: you fit honeycomb pieces onto a hexagon board and fill lines with honey. It shows ads from Google AdMob. This policy explains what data is processed, who processes it and how you can control it.
What HannaGames does not collect
HannaGames does not collect, receive or store any of your personal data. Colmena has no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics of its own and no servers of its own. It has no in-app purchases either.
What is stored on your device
Your best score, stats, the daily challenge and your day streak, the flowers in your garden, the game in progress and your settings (sound, vibration, reduce motion and language) are stored only on your device, in the app's private storage. They are not sent to HannaGames or anyone else.
You can delete them at any time in Settings > Delete data. They are also deleted when you uninstall the app.
Google AdMob ads
Colmena shows two kinds of ads, and neither appears while you play: a rewarded ad, which you only watch if you choose to, to get a second chance when you run out of room (once per game), and a full-screen interstitial ad that may appear when a game ends, never in your first three games and with a frequency cap. There are no banners.
To show ads, cap how often they appear, measure them and prevent fraud, the Google AdMob SDK collects:
- The device advertising ID (AD_ID).
- The IP address, from which an approximate location is inferred.
- Device and app information.
- Interactions with ads.
- Diagnostic and performance data.
This data is collected and processed by Google, not by HannaGames, and it is sent encrypted. You can read how Google uses it in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and in the Google Privacy Policy.
Consent in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Colmena asks for your consent with Google's consent form (UMP) before requesting ads. Your choice is stored on your device and you can change it at any time in Settings > Ad privacy.
Personalized ads
Wherever you are, you can reset or delete your advertising ID and turn off personalized ads in your Android settings, under Google > Ads.
Permissions
Colmena requests these permissions:
- INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: to load ads. The game works offline.
- AD_ID: the advertising ID used by AdMob.
- VIBRATE: for vibration when you place pieces and clear lines. You can turn it off in Settings.
Age
Colmena is not directed at children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this same address with a new date.
